Aethr Models

Darwin

One foundation-model family, evolving across different scales of intelligence.

Darwin is AETHR Intelligence's foundation-model family built from OMN research. It is designed as a common lineage from which compact, specialized models and larger-capability models can evolve while sharing the same underlying research foundation.

Status: In development

One lineage, not a collection of disconnected models.

Darwin is designed around continuity. Architectural improvements, training lessons, evaluations, and specialization methods can flow forward across generations instead of producing a new model identity for every use case. This allows AETHR to build general and specialized models from a shared research foundation while preserving a coherent model lineage.

Type-S · Compact / Efficient / Specialized

Type-S represents Darwin's compact model lineage. These models are intended for efficient deployment, specialization, and environments where model footprint, latency, memory, or local execution matter.

Type-M · Larger / Higher-Capability

Type-M represents the larger-capability lineage within Darwin. These models are intended for more demanding workloads where broader capability and model capacity take priority over deployment footprint.

Darwin Type-S1

Darwin Type-S1 will be the first model released from the Darwin family and the first public expression of the research foundation established through OMN. It is being developed as a compact model intended to explore how AETHR's architectural and training research translates into an efficient model suitable for broader experimentation and specialization.

Specialization without fragmenting the family.

Darwin is intended to support both general-purpose development and domain specialization. A model adapted for an industrial domain should remain part of the Darwin lineage rather than becoming an entirely separate foundational family. This gives AETHR one model foundation that can evolve across general capability, domain expertise, and deployment environments.

Darwin in the physical world.

Aethr Industrial Intelligence will draw on specialized Darwin models adapted for physical systems and domain-specific environments. Aethr Water Intelligence can use a water-specialized Darwin derivative while remaining part of the same underlying model family.
